I should have posted this a while ago but this is a research sheet that I did after the Dragon’s Den panel to act on their feedback that my research was all too monochrome. After doing the research sheet below I completely understood what they meant. I can see that having bold colour is eye-catching, appealing and fun and would help my branding to stand out from the existing ‘independent coffee shop’ aesthetic that Karl wants me to avoid. From the research sheet (below) I particularly like the doughnut posters in the middle, I like the way they are bright, simple and clean and have fun copy – I think that if possible it would be fun to design a series of posters that include and compliment the brand identity that could be displayed in the cafe. I’m also really drawn to the colours pink and yellow from this sheet and would like to include them.
